About the Gold Star Achievements Program
The SBHA Gold Star Achievements (GSA) program celebrates schools and districts across South Carolina that are leading the way in school behavioral health. This statewide recognition system honors those implementing Integrated Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) with fidelity to SBHA’s evidence-based School Behavioral Health (SBH) best practices.
Through the Gold Star Framework, schools and districts are supported in building sustainable, high-quality SBH programs. Recognition is awarded based on progress toward clearly defined implementation benchmarks.
Schools may apply for a Gold Star in each Tier of MTSS implementation, earning up to four stars total.
Districts earn Gold Star Achievement recognition by meeting all district-level benchmarks. A prestigious Platinum Star is awarded to districts that meet all benchmarks and have at least one elementary, one middle, and one high school with Gold Star recognition.
Be Recognized and Celebrated
Gold Star recipients will be honored at the annual Southeast School Behavioral Health Conference, featured in our SBHA newsletters, and highlighted across our social media platforms.
