Acknowledgements

The SC School Behavioral Health Academy was created in recognition of the significant accomplishments of John H. Magill, former State Director of the Department of Mental Health, who played an instrumental and continuing role in developing effective child, adolescent and school mental health programs in our state, earning national acclaim.

In addition to instrumental support provided to this project by former state director of the South Carolina Department of Mental Health (DMH), John Magill, this work builds on more than a decade of support and guidance from DMH on effective school behavioral health programming, and the SCSBHA team is grateful for the past and ongoing support from DMH as a national leader on mental health in schools.

SBHA’s on-line courses were developed by the dedicated School Behavioral Health Team in the Department of Psychology at the University of South Carolina with significant contributions from local, state, and national experts. We are very grateful to the following people for their important contributions to the Learning Management System.
